Jumpstart boot net -v install, stops at Size:..............................
I'm trying to jumpstart a V490 sol10 system and it stops at Size:
Arp appears to be working, what else can I do to get through this?
Rebooting with command: boot net -v install

Hello,According to the console output, the root directory is not a Sol 10 but a Sol 9.Are you sure you don't have several install servers configured to boot this node ?Or you may have several entries in your bootparams file for this server.
# 2
I'm trying to make this sol 10 server a solaris 9 server. I've jumpstarted 8,9 from same server using different flash archives. I've checked my /etc/bootparams and I only have one entry. Do I need to create a new jumpstart directory from the Sol 10 CD to jumpstart the Solaris 10 box down to Solaris 9?
# 3
Run 'snoop' from the jumpstart server looking at packets to/from the client.
What's at the end?
It looks like it's getting at least as far as bootparams to show the mount points, but it's unclear if it's actually mounting them properly (or loading a kernel).

Do you know what version of Solaris 9 you have on the image?Does it behave differently if you use the command:boot net -v - install ?(note the spaces around the second "-") 7/M.

This is all I get from snoop, over and over again:

First things I'd check.#1 Is this Solaris 9 release 4/04 or later?#2 what does 'share' return on the server?-- Darren

This might be the problem. It doesn't look like you are exporting the directory with the Solaris 9 image.

That's the entire output of the share command? I'm interested in all the arguments.
If the share doens't have anon=0, it probably won't work.
If the share has ever been rw, then a jumpstart client can corrupt the image so that it has to be redone.
