messed Java Desktop Release 3

for some reason I can only get into CDE on my Solaris 10 x86 last update.

when I log into the JAva Desktop.. it just hangs without any error msg of any kind.

What I've done that might be due to:

1. trying to set up IPFilter (think it should be working OK now)

2.to change my hostname from the unknown

3. via smc (Solaris Management Console) played with assigning users rights/groups , as I hated it too much when I need to install something to log as root then finding out I have to re-install it for the regular user from his account... like the StarOffice-I've installed it as root, but as a regular used it still wants me to install it..

So what I've done - it seems that I have the same desktop in JD when I log in with a reg. user.. but now it JD does not start..

Oh,I've edited also /etc/passwd for the shells assigned /bin/bash and addded Super-User to my regular user..

At last I'm not 100% sure that no.3 is the problem as I'm not 100% whether I did restart after doing number 3. Basically I'm not sure if I did the reboot prior to no.1,2 or after I 've done all the 3 things....

So how can I get the JD working again?

Any Ideas?

Many Thanks in Advence!

Ok, I don't know which logs to look at.. tried in /var/log.. everythings seems to be OK,no errors , just one warnning which I'm 101% is irrelevant- in xorgl log about something keyboard related.

Now I've tried to log in again into JD and hit Alt+Ctrl+Del to see :

stdprocess

no such file.......

I've tried to start this from console-voila it's a process manager/monitor.. it works..

Any ideas what is messed up?

Anyone?

Many Thanks!
