Zone does not boot
Greetings -
I am attempting to reproduce an identical sparse zone configuration found
on a S10 03/05 Sparc machine on S10 03/05 U20 9x86).
Unfortunately I am always getting install errors which did not
appear on the other machine.
Preparing to install zone <zone3>.
Creating list of files to copy from the global zone.
Copying <28435> files to the zone.
Initializing zone product registry.
Determining zone package initialization order.
Preparing to initialize <953> packages on the zone.
Initialized <953> packages on zone.
Zone <zone3> is initialized.
Installation of these packages generated errors: <SUNWckr SUNWcnetr SUNWcsr SUNWcsu SUNWcakr SUNWcsd SUNWrmodr SUNWhea SUNWib SUNWcslr SUNWtftpr SUNWdtdmr>
The file </export/home/zone3/root/var/sadm/system/logs/install_log> contains a log of the zone installation.
Upon boot I receive the following message ...
zoneadm: zone 'zone3': mount of /etc/mnttab failed: No such file or directory
zoneadm: zone 'zone3': call to zoneadmd failed
When inspecting the Install Log for the zone, several
instances of -
*** package <SUNWckr> failed to install - interrupted:
pkgadd: ERROR: packaging file </var/sadm/pkg/SUNWckr/save/pspool/SUNWckr/install/deletes> is corrupt
pathname does not exist
Installation of <SUNWckr> on zone <zone3> failed (internal error).
No changes were made to the system.
and
*** package <SUNWcsr> failed to install - interrupted:
pkgadd: ERROR: duplicate pathname <i.manifest>
pkgadd: ERROR: duplicate pathname <i.rbac>
pkgadd: ERROR: unable to process pkgmap
Installation of <SUNWcsr> on zone <zone3> failed (internal error).

are observed.
As far as I can tell all relevant zone patches have been applied.
Thanks for your attention.
