Live_upgrade issues

Hi,

I've been having an issue with LiveUpgrade. I use it for backing up data locally. It's on a SunFire 6800 with SunOS 10. When I run, it gives me errors and does not complete the cpio process. It hangs there and the system becomes sluggish and eventually unresponsive until I reboot it. This message occurs while doing this cpio process in /var/adm/messages.

I have not seen this before. The path pci@1e,700000/pci@ 1/SUNW.isptwo@4/sd@0,0 is the Alternate Boot disk which I'm trying to copy to. So, I ran fsck on the device and then newfs each slice. I went into the format utility and ran analyze on the it. I entered in the block 3654656 and it asked me if I wanted to fix it so I answered yes.Does any have any ideas or has seen this before?

Could well be the start f hardware disk problems.Do an iostat -En | grep -i softHave a look at the hard and soft error counts for the device.A few soft errors are managable. Signigificant numbers indicates a problem. And any hard errors indicates a problem.
