IA64 support?

I have two Itanium 2 systems and I'd like to try running Solaris 10 on them? Is there a IA64 edition of it?Thanks!

Not today.

Development for a port of Solaris was done on older itaniums, so it's not like they'd have to start from scratch. But maintaining the code and the separate branch and everything wouldn't be cheap. I don't expect it to happen from Sun unless they think there's enough of a market (or if they and HP make some sort of deal for it).

Someone else could do the work via OpenSolaris, but I haven't heard of a project to do so.
