Solaris Question

Hi Guys,

i am a newbie into UNIX world..

how would i know whether the firewall is turn on or off in SOlaris?

In windows its very easy , in Solaris i dont know where to check it.

Then my second question , is there any built in GUI in Solaris so we dont have to type command?

If they dont have , how re we gonna browse the internet for example and see all the graphical images?
