We're using 4.1 on sol 10 1/06.
As far as I am aware, it should support 6/06
But with sol 10 6/06, zfs is looking like a pretty attractive alternave to vxvm.
Unfortunately our SAN storage is not supported by mpxio so we need vxvm just for the multipath DMP support. Which makes it an expensive way to get multipathing.
Hello,
we are currently using solaris 9 with veritas volume manager 3.5.So i would like to know if i upgrade to solaris 10 06/06.whether i can use 3.5 or not.
Using the Veritas (Symantec) support site, I have found the following document
VERITAS Storage Solutions 3.5 Maintenance Pack 4 for Solaris
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/278582.htm
The latest supported version listed for VxVM 3.5 with MP4 applied is Solaris 9. That means the answer is NO.
I understand that searching the Veritas knowledge base might be tough and time consuming, but it's their product ...

Hi,
My solaris 10 with VxVM 4.1 host crashed. All the volumes on the storage box are OK. I want to import these volumes to a backup host running Solaris 9 with VM 4.0 and it failed saying "Disk group has no valid configuation copies".
I tried:
Format sees the disks on Solaris 9 box.
Clearimport returns exit with status 0.
vxdg import -fC failed with above message.
Thanks in advance,
K-
