X4100 Issues

2 Questions.

- how can i tell if my X4100 is M2 or not so I can get the correct drivers, etc?

- X4100 and X2100 w/ Windows Server 2003 does not recognize Control-Alt-Delete from Raritan DX216 KVM Console Workstation, but my HP, Dell and other Windows 2003 Servers do. Why won't the Sun X2100 and X4100.

The OpenSPARC Cool Tools forum is the wrong place for this question. So I've moved the thread to the server hardware forum.Message was edited by: dwaynelee@sun

If you're able to access the web interface of the Service Processor you're able to tell what X4100 you have. Also, I believe that the M2 was launched just a few weeks ago so if your system is older than that it's most probably a "regular" X4100...

For those of us who are unable to access this web interface ....what is the best way to find out which it is .....(we order boxes all the time, some of which were in the last few weeks , so it really could be either ?)Cheers

If you boot your server you will see a code name of the Opteron processor. The old one was Opteron 248 or 252 etc. but the new one in M2 is Opteron 2220 or 2218 or 2216 etc.TM
