Hello,

i want to separate 2 disks & place them onto another controller, do i need to buy a pci card to separate them or is there a separate internal controller i can connect them to?

Did you review the documentation for the V240 ?

Are you talking about the 4 internal disks ?

All internal disks are attached to one channel of the SCSI controller, the second channel is used for the external connector. You can't split the SCSI backplane.

Yes you can attach disks to the external connector if they are installed in an external enclosure.

Please note the difference between channel and controller.
