420R Blank Screen

I am new to Sun hardware, and I received a 420R server with a graphics card (Sun, not any random card), 4xCPUs and max (4GB) of RAM. I plugged in a Sun 5c keyboard with mouse as well.

When I turn on the machine, both green LEDs on each of the two power supplies turns on and no amber LEDs come on, so both power supplies appear to be working. The system fault light does not come on either.

All of the keyboard LEDs flash for a moment, then turn off, and the keyboard beeps once.

Yet, there is no POST screen of any kind.

Anyone have any ideas?

Shouldn't the system at least POST if there is bad memory/CPU? I thought the POST would detect this, and cause the keyboard LEDs to flash. This system was in a supposed working condition, but I am not so sure now.

Connect a terminal to Serial A and check the output. The system may have a hard failure on a CPU causing:Red state exception errors. You will never see this on your display, only the ttya port.
