Cannot start a new V240 Server

Hi guys,

need helps, any one can give some?

I just received a new V240 Server. I plug a memory upgarde, dvd drive, 2 more disk of 146GB and a graphical card XVR100. I'm trying to start the server but nothing happen, after a bit more of one hour the only diod light is the working on one which is green fix.

All the suppl閙entary hardware is caming from Sun and I check the compatibility which is good.

Any one as an idea?

Have you tried to connect to the system using a serial terminal? Also some new Sun machines boot into diagnostic mode when first booted.

tks for answering. you right the solution was to log on with the console and to configure the boot side

Thanks for the update! I could have been a bit more clear in my response though, Sun SPARC systems that were designed for use as a server generally need the firmware configured to send the output to the graphics card. Desktop like Blade 2000 for example should detect the graphics card when booted.
