Sun v120 Boot problem

I am new to Sun systems and am trying to boot a Sun v120 that has no drives of any kind, no keyboard and no monitor. I am using LOM port A and Windows Hyperterminal. When I try port B I get not screen output. On A it boots to a screen with no prompt but I can get to the LOM prompt by typing # #. That prompt seems to function correctly but anytime I type console or break it just gives me a "blank prompt" and the only way that I can get any kind of interaction is to type # #. again and get back to the LOM prompt. What can I do to get an "ok" prompt so that I can install an OS over the network (once I add a hard drive of course).

When I boot this is all I see until I type # #.:

LOM event: +0h7m32s host power on

This appears to be what I'm guessing is a cpu panic.

It is not even completing POST, so you will not accomplish anything

until you can at least get to OBP.

No drives? What else may have been removed?

You may need to take this system and open it up.

If you are comfortable in your computer repair skills, you can

remove and re-seat whatever seems removable.

There are four DIMM slots and there must be RAM in place.

DIMMs can be installed one at a time.

The cpu module is integrated onto the systemboard

so if you have a cpu problem, the entire board gets replaced.

(expensive if there's no service contract)

Perhaps this is a "stripped" system, because it's a broken system.

The documentation for this platform can be downloaded

from its SSH resource page:

Yeah, you're right. I just realized last night that, when diagnostics are run, it says "memory test fails." I am going to get a replacement memory stick and try that out. I tried reseating the one that is in there and that didn't help. Thanks for your help.
