... this question was last asked in late 2005.

I suppose that once per year is to be expected ...

although a forum search or a Sunsolve search would have worked, as well.

Spectrum InfoDoc 74713

"Sun Fire[TM] V210/240/440 servers: How to set up systems to power up automatically?"

You will need a Sunsolve login account to access the document.

(hint: check your OBP setting for error-reset-recovery)

Was the question asked by the same user in 2005? Let's give them a break as there have been some major changes on the forums since then.

Martin,All I meant was that the question was buried in old threads. However a forum search for `automatic boot` found the answer as its second "hit".I did provide an answer though:- the Spectrum Infodoc- and the reference to the OBP setting.

Not saying anything against you mate, though you can be a bit harsh on the poor old newbies! I like to be nice, keeps the questions rolling in.

Sorry, I do not have a SunSolve account.

Changed it from "sync" to "boot", but there was no change in the behaviour of the system.
