portal server 6.2.1 installation issue!

Hi,

I am trying to install Sun ONE Portal Server Version 6.2.1. After specifying the statefile (statefile.cfg), when I click next in the installer a warning pops up, saying to restart the identity server. I click ok. Then after few steps installer asks for Identity Server information (path to Install based directory).

I found the Sun Java System Identity Server 6.1, but its not free.

Can someone tell me do I really need this Identity Server?

If yes, is there is a free version available? If no, how can I bypass this step?

There is a free Sun Java System Access Manager available. But not sure if this would work (i.e contain Identity Server).

I will appreciate any help.

Thanks!

Actually, I am also having the same problem. While installing portal server 6.2, steps installer asks for Identity Server information (path to Install based directory). And it is not free. Now I came to know from forum that we need Access Manager instead of Identity server..So my question is: is it windows-compatible ? Because i downloaded java portal server 6.2 and secure>remote access 6.2.on windows. Please advise....
