Network interface ipge0 frequently goes down

Hi All,

We have a sunfire t2000, and apparently after every week or so, the ipge0 network interface goes down and we have to restart the machine

again. I have looked at the logs and the out put of the dmesg command,

but they do not tell much. I got the following output from the dmesg command:

ipge0: no fault external to the device: service available

ipge0 link up full duplex etc.

However by looking at the message generated at the system console:

I saw the following data access error mmu miss, I am not sure if they are related. Do I require a patch. I will really appreciate if some one can help and let me know what the problem is.

Kind regards

Zieb

Try to check the speed and duplex settings on the server side and Switch side. i faced the same problem when i am trying to do some large queries to the system and my telnet/ftp session go hang, then i have to restart the server.

once i resolved the speed and duplex settings, my large queries are working very fine.
