RSC (or ALOM) and SSH

This may be a stupid question but is it possible to configure RSC and ALOM such that you can use ssh rather than telmet?

Depends on the hardware. I believe the T1000 and T2000 support ssh to ALOM.I would expect the X86 gear ie X2100 etc would also. The sunfire range eg V210/240 do not.

I know that the V490's and V890's offer that capabilty.

Correction: V210/V240 as well as the V440 and new er Vxx5 (V215, V445, etc) series do support ssh with ALOM. Your system needs to have a firmware update up to 1.6. See the following link for more info.

Having said that someone in this thread posted that the V490/V890 does support this capability. I have recently installed RSC 2.2.3 with patch 119381-03 and I don't see where this is supported when running rscconfig or by doing a rscadm show. Can somebody point me to where the midrange server line shows on how to configure the RSC card with ssh support?

Has anyone heard if the RSC actually supports SSH yet?

Which hardware? T1000/2000, V210/V240,V245,V440,V490 etc do, with the latest firmware anyway.I have tested it on v210/v240.
