diskless server exports client's /usr read only?

Hi,My diskless server exports the client's /usr as read only. Can someone please tell me the ramifications of exporting it read/write?Thanks,Dave

The idea is that you can share a single /usr among several clients. If it's r/w, then one client can disturb the image for others in this configuration.

If it tried to move or update a shared library, it's likely that programs would crash.

Root needs to have write access, so each client gets an individual copy that can be modified.
