The device path that in the error message, is for an internal disk not for an external disk.
V240 systems can have as many as four internal hard drives.
That path is to your second disk.
It is a Veritas Volume Manager error.
Do you have the filesystems mirrored and encapsulated?
Glance inside Spectrum InfoDoc 21216 for device paths of a few systems:

Hi
Thanks for the reply, the filesystems were mirrored with Raid5....
so, as per the warning message, disk1(the second disk) is having some problem (disk0 is fine)....
this is the output of vxdisk -list

The sun fire V240 has 4 disks but I'm only using 3.
It seems the 3 are having problems...
I worked fine with this machine for a long time without any problem but now (almost once a day) it blocks and shutdown.
It's odd having a problem in the all 3 disks, is the problem in the controler?
Can it be caused by over-heating?
Can anyone help me?!:)
Thanks in advance!
Carina.
