Welcome to one of the busiest forums on sun.com! You have a lot of competition :-)

Looking back at your previous posts, it appears that the large majority of your posts did receive replies, often from foilks that I know are quite knowledgeable about Creator. Can't vouch for whether or not their re[plies actually helped.

Generally speaking, "coding questions" tend not to get replies by their very nature , unless the answer is really obvious.

Keep in mind, of course, that this is a free, public forum that relies in no small part on the user community for answers. Intensive, detailed support is not guaranteed, because it is expensive.

There is an option if you think you need such support for success in serious business applivcation development - you know, the kind with a boss breathing down your neck :-) :

Of course, these cost money.

I greatly appreciate the assistance provided by the community members..

I am trying to learn Java and Creator and the best way I learn is to try the sample apps and take them apart/change things to see what results I get.

In the JAAS application I received great help from Marco. marco found the problems with the JAAS sample application, provided me with the modified jspf file and instructions to comment out the help file in this application because it did not work.

trying to do the same with the Movie Admin sample application I get pretty much the same errors: with the jspf header page. I was hoping that changes would be made to the MoviesAdmin sample apps (the problem was with a non-printable character in the file) but still the problem exists.

I understand even the slightest changes required manpower and funding.

another is is that simply modifying properties results in numerous "symbol not found errors" (the code looks ok, I'm wondering it the IDE is the problem?

Also, the Find > "Find In Projects' works for the first few "finds" but then fails to highlight (in focus) the correct text.

Creator hangs and sometimes has to be stopped.. after system reboot the pages that are displayed in the GUI is from a project that is no longer open.

et., etc..

These issues need some type of response as to why these are happenings.. The Creator team has did a very good job with this IDE.. I would like to continue to use it.. The volume of traffic in this forum reflects the interest in the IDE but also is a reflection of the problems developers are encountering.

Thanks
