Creator 2.1 Does not start -- used to start no longer starts

Hello,

When I launch Creator I see a series of messages. The last message I see is "Starting Modules". No firther updates occur. After some time moving the panel around causes it to become grey, the paint methods no longer refresh the screen.

./creator --help

doesn't list an option to turn on diagnostics.
