spams

A user is complaining about some emails bounced back (Delivery failed notification) even though he did not receive the emails.

The original email originates from a spammer and is sent to the internal mailing list.

How to avoid these bounced back messages?

Since the message originates outside your system, and includes a forged return address, there is little you can do about the message itself. This is so common, it has a name, "joe-job". The message is sent to other systems, and since it's sent to addresses that don't exist, the DSN generated by these external systems "blows back" to your system.

Now, if "internal_mailing_list" is one of your lists, and you don't have a "msgrpAllowedSender" attribute on the list, you have indeed exposed yourself to this.
