MEM Proxy Failure

I have MEM installed on ServerA and configured to proxy requests to Messenger Server on ServerB. If I create a user using the commadmin tool everything works successfully. However, I need to migrate users from and existing mail server. I tried just exporting to ldfi and then importing into the new system. When I attempt to login as this user I get "service unavailable". When I check the logs it says that the connection to serverB has been refused. As part of the export I updated the mailHost and psRoot attributes to refelct the new DNS names. Any ideas on why the imported user might be failing?

Thanks,

Pete

I would be looking at logs carefully, to see if it's really attempting to connect to ServerB.

I'd also check to see what happens if you connect directly to ServerB, and attempt to log in as one of these users.

You don't say what versions you're working with, if they're all the same, or not.

It's possible, if you're migrating from a 5.2 server to a 6.x server, that your ldap entries are missing stuff.

it's also possible that your update of mailhost included a typo, and you're attempting to connect to something that's not there.

mailHost should be a FQDN
