webmail and SSO

Question about integrating Messenging Server 6.2 webmail with Access Manager 7.0 single sign on.

Is it possible to configure webmail such that if a user goes to the webmail URL first (before hitting the Access Manager login page), that the user would get redirected to Access Manager for authentication and SSO token instead of getting the standard webmail login page? I would like the redirect to be transparent and seamless to the user.

Presently, if they go to webmail first, they have to login to webmail; then if they go to an AM-protected page, they will be redirected to the AM login page. Thus, two logins and not really single sign on.

I think this can be done with a policy agent on the JES web server and app server. But I can't find any documentation for doing this on the Messaging web server.

First, you have to set up your SSO per the documentation. That includes having your AM set up in "legacy mode".Once you've done that, any of the logins should work for all your AM logins.
