Error in a mailbox?

We have a weird error that is just affecting one mailbox.

The error might have occured as a resulty of a crash...

The error is as follows...

When receiving mail all mails are marked "unread, deleted" on arrival.

They should be marked unread but not deleted. As far as I can tell the mailserver is responsible for this to happen.

Does anyone have any suggestion on how to correct this?

We are running IMS 5.2.

I have tried reconstruct -m (no errors)

and reconstruct -n user/userid/INBOX to check this particular account. No errors reported.

There has been configuration changes made during the period when the error appeared for the first time. Just the crash.

This is typically caused by a manual removal of message files from the mailbox. Makes the store.idx include pointers to "deleted" messages that aren't there. New messages come in, and the system matches them up to the deleted records, and bingo, they're gone.

Remove the store.idx from the mailbox, and run reconstruct -r user/userid
