different certificates for imap and messenger express

is it possible to use different ssl certificates for imap and messenger express?

We run imap on imap.domain.edu and messenger express on mail.domain.edu. We'd like different certificates, one for each address so our users don't get warnings.

It seems they both use encryption.rsa.nssslpersonalityssl, encryption.nscertfile, and encryption.nskeyfile configutil parameters.

We're running ims 5.2. We're actually upgrading 2005q4, this is an in-between as part of our upgrade.

Actually, the answer applies equally to 5.2 and 6.2.6.3 may be somewhat different, when it comes out.

At present, there is no way to separate IMAP from HTTP when they are both the basic server product.

However, you CAN use MMP with a different certificate, even on the same box to get what you're looking for.

Set IMAP to use a non-standard port. Install MMP to the standard port, set the "backside port", install your webmail cert to the store server, and your imap cert to the mmp, and you're there.
