JES4 MEM - to - JES2 Store

Hello,

I need to implement new MEM (msg express multiplexor) which will be talking to existing JES2 back-end store. I can't find any docs defining what versions on MEM supported with what versions of stores. Can I imlement JES4 version of MEM or should I stick to JES2 since store is that version?
