installing software with pkgadd command

Dear All,

I intend to install ghostview package to all the damin machines. The package is downloaded from sun free sofatware site and need to be isntalled with command: pkgadd. 'pkgadd' command installs software to /usr/local or /opt. How can it be installed into a shared common directory so that other machines can use it.

Any help is much apprecitated.

nfs export the directory by including it in /etc/dfs/dfstab.Then automount it on the other servers by editing /etc/auto_direct.

Dear Robert,

Thanks a lot for your help. I have problem with /etc/auto_direct. The /usr/local directory was mounted on other machine with creating the auto_direct file, but some of other mounted directories were empty.

Can you advise what the problem could be?

regards
