Installing Directoryserver in whole-root zone on x86 hw

Hi there

I cannot install Directory Server on my whole-root zone.

I keep getting the following message:

"Insert CD EntSysResources:JES_05Q4_SOL_X86"

This happens during installation from an ISO image mounted from the global zone in a directory accesible to the non-global zone.

Installation in the global zone is not a problem since mounting the second image works perfectly here.

How do I get around this?

I found the following that suggests copying all files to the drive from the CD and then do the install.

http://forum.sun.com/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=75854&tstart=0

But that results in the same error.

I guess I need to get one full image instead of two CD images.

I cant find that anywhere on Suns site though.

What other options do I have?

Our T2000 server installs perfectly in the whole-root zone. But that's because all the relevant files are bundled from factory in one directory so I don't experience the "change CD" issue..

I cannot copy these files to my AMD server since they are for Sparc architecture only.

Regards, Mikkel

Hi. I have the same problem on my sparc system. Did you found any solution? I already copied the 2 CDs on one directory but I got the same message.

You need to rm the .cdtoc and .volume.inf files after you copy to local disk
