HELP! Director Server not visible in console

Hi,

I am running sun java system directory 5.2 P4 on Windows 2003 and I have noticed that I can no longer see my directory in the server console. i.e. I can no longer see this in the server group and connect to my directory.

The directory is present since I can still perform searches and connect using a third party directory manager and view the directory. Urgent help required!

Thanks,

If a directory server is no longer visible in the console, it probably means that either the console is not started against the same Configuration Directory, or the server was removed from the Configuration Directory (suffix o=netscapeRoot).

In both cases, this does not prevent the Directory Server from running and returning proper answers to clients.

Ludo

Thanks for the response. How can I rebuild the configuration file?

It is not a file, it's a set of entries in the o=netscaperoot suffix.

I don't know enough of your environment to tell you exactly the root cause of your issue nor how to fix it.

I would recommend that you contact Sun support for a proper diagnostic and solution.

Ludovic.
