poor performance due to replication

Hiya

One of our ldap servers is really suffering, atm we are just replicating it with the master and its not live. The server is a consumer replica of a very similar master server (identical in fact) which is running fine. Any ideas and pointers would be great.

Thanks

MK

Hi,

It is very hard to provide an answer with just CPU data.

There are many things involved in troubleshooting performance issues.

Is this permanent, regularly or some time to time ?

I would first look at the number of LDAP connections, and what they are doing. Looking at Access Logs provides quite some information.

I would look at the monitoring data (from cn=monitor) as well.

Ludovic.
