Integrating Siteminder with IDM

Already configured the Netegrity Siteminder and have that in IDM as a resource.

In the login module group for the UserInterface the SSO Login Module is also attached to it .

In the SSO Login Module the login Success requirement is made "required".Also tried with "sufficient" mode.

Now when trying to login the Siteminder authentication page is coming up,and after getting authenticated there it throws me to the IDM authentication screen asking userid and password again.

I want to skip this default userid/pwd module .In the User Interface I have only assigned SSO login module group.

would be helpful if someone can tell why I am getting the IDM pwd challenge screen.

What you have described should work. Are there any other resources in the authentication stack that are set to required? ...like Lighthouse / IDM?

The same thing works for us, and we've set it to SiteMinder 1st, and then Lighthouse 2nd (since users can go to lighthouse directly for authentication if they type the IP of the IDM application server.

We are using SUFFICIENT not REQ.

Only other thing i can think of is the organizations...have you chosen the right orgs in the Available To multiselect?

Please check your <LoginModGroup/> xml file from the debug pages. Make sure that there is only a single entry (SM related) under <LoginConfigEntryRefs/>
