Identity Manager 6 and Active Directory Universal Groups

Does Identity Manager 6 allow you to create Universal Groups in Active Directory?

I have the Active Directory connection setup and have added the "groups" resource reference however it only gives me the option to create Global Groups or Domain Local Groups in Active Directory. The AD function level is 2003 and supports Universal groups (we already have several Universal Groups in AD).
