solaris 9 hosts not finding patchset patchdb1

On solaris 9 hosts the value of patchpro.patchset appears to default to patchdb1.

This has recently stopped working with error

patchdb1: not found at https://updateserver.sun.com/solaris/

But changing patchpro.patchset to patchdb gets it to work again.

Strangely, solaris10 hosts appear to have a default value for this of "current".

But that doesnt seem to work on solaris 9.
