Failed to install the patch 113886-38, 113887-38
Hi all,
I just tried to install theJ2SE Solaris 9 Recommented Patch Cluster, while, when it come to install the patch 113886-38, 113887-38, it got an an error message:

ERROR: This patch requires patch 113886-38
which has not been applied to the system.

The O/S version info:
SunOS rtd5p02 5.9 Generic_118558-27 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-880
Our system was just upgraded from solaris 8 to solaris 9, and I donnt know why it was failed, appreciate if any idea about the cause.

Hello Yukun,
The reason that patch 113887-38 is failing to install is that patch 113886-38 has not been installed. As this is a dependancy patch of 113887-38, this patch will not install.
Please can you run the following commands and return the output generated:
showrev -p | grep 113886-38
find . -name 113886-38
patchadd /patch_to_patch/113886-38

Yup, my problem is the patch 113886-38 was failed to install.

Yup, I think we haven't install the OpenGL before, so they're not required at all. The rest patches are cinstalled ok, thanks moderator.
