Cannot find a patch

I'm getting the following response to smpatch analyze on a Sol 9 server:

Errors were found.

...

117177-02 SunOS 5.9: lib/gss module Patch

Error: Requires a patch that could not be found

...

Several occurrences of this message appear in the smpatch output. It looks like the patch that 117177-02 needs is 112908-24 (or greater). I have 112908-25 on my patch proxy (Sol 10), so why can't it be found?

Both patches 112908-25 and 112908-24 were withdrawn on July 14th. The error refers to the dependant patch not being able to be found on our side and not on the system itself (due to it being withdrawn)More information on why these patches were withdrawn can be found on sunsolve.

Ok thanks for that info.Sunsolve now says that 112908-23 has been re-instated but patch 117177-02 (and others) still want to see 112908-25 so these others can't be installed either. Are they to be withdrawn too?

No, the bugs referenced in the withdrawn patch details with lead to a new revision (presumably 26) being released which will then prevent the errors and allow you to install the patches which are dependant on it.

Until the new revision is released you will not be able to install the patches which are dependent on it.
