Sun Application Server 9 failed installation

I attempted to uninstall and reinstall the Sun Application Server. The installation stops before it has completed with the error

"'d ' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

operable program or batch file."

There are no files under the domains directory. I've tried to create the default domain manually and get the same error message.

Added: I'm using Windows XP

I've also attempted the following before reinstalling in order to try to fix this:

Renamed the installation file.

Deleted any remaining files I could find manually.

Reinstalled in a new directory.

Deleted the product registry file.

Deleted and recreated the Temp folder under user/Local Settings.

Checked PATH settings.

Never mind - fixed it. I deleted the path variable before reinstalling and it installed successfully.
