Problems with format command

Hi

I have a new v890 on Solaris 1/06. It was all working fine, but I just

installed the latest recommended patch cluster. Now, when I try to format

any disk, I get an error:

Any ideas what's wrong please?

Thanks

I have exactly the same problem on a new v240.

I installed Solaris 10 01/06

Patched with 10_Recommended.zip DATE: May/04/06.

Hi,

There is an updated /usr/sbin/format in the 10_Recommended Cluster patch 118996-04.

As a workaround I have backed it out.

# patchrm 118996-04

Format now behaves properly.

I will still post any replies from the Sun Service call if they come back with any other useful info.

I've since been told that patch 122176-01 fixes the problem, and indeed it does.rgdsNeil
