why restore takes more time compared to backup

SETUP-- SF 2900 , Solaris 9, Netbackup 5.1, HP ultrium drives with Quantum library. Any backup done in the above setup(say Oracle dbase cold backup) will take less time compared to restore. Backup time around 1hr while restore takes 1hr 20min.Thanx in advancePRASADPRASAD at 2007-7-6 20:42:02 >
