What's the deal with the Duke Dollars?

There probably a better place for this question butSys Admin Best Practices is the only forum that I've tried where "Watch List" seems to work, so:

What's the deal with the Duke Dollars? Are they "real"? Are they of value?

Don't know of anyone who's received a gift. Don't know of anyone who cares either :)However, I -do- know one guy who got pissed at other forum members who were making a bit of fun of him.. Even though he had put up his precious duke dollars for us :p

Use the forum search function, keywords duke dollars

Among the many, many results, you'll find this thread from 2004:

Duke Dollars are broken, and will not get fixed !

(As with a few sub-functions in the forum.)

So, just ignore the little icon and concentrate on the content of the postings, as I do.
