latest patch 120879-03 broke SunRay
Hi,
I downloaded SRSS 4.0 (basically, SRSS3.1 + Sun_Ray_Connector_1.0+SunDesktopMgr-1.0). SRSS 3.1 installed fine. When I try to install Sun_Ray_Connector_1.0, it would not run because it complained that the latest patch was not applied, so, I downloaded the latest patch 120879-03 and applied it. After some more tweaking (the Sun_Ray_Connector, still would not run without some other libraries, Openssl, libgcc, libiconv), then, it worked. But as soon as I reboot the server, sessions don't come up anymore. After further debugging, I narrowed it down to the patch being the cause that broke SunRay, and if in de-install the patch, sessions work again.
Has anyone ever encountered this issue?

Hi OttoMeister,
Thanks much for the tip.
I was using Solaris 10, and I did not apply the 119254 patch. I went ahead and downloaded the patch, but came to realize the patch requires yet another patch, 121333-02, which seems to require some service account, which I don't have. I will try to apply patch 119254, and see if indeed it requires that other patch, 121333-02. I will update my result again later.
Thanks again.
update: Application of patch 119254 failed because it requires patch 121333-02. Turns out, I have the Solaris 10 03/05 version, patch 121333-02 is included in the 01/06 version. So, I guess I will be downloading the 01/06 version for the next few days.
more update: After reinstalling Solaris 10 01/06, applied patch 119254, and install SRSS 3.1, and SunRay patch 120879-03. Everything is working fine. Then I install srrdp_1.0, it still requires Openssl, libgcc, and libiconv before the software would work. But these libraries were not included in the bundle. They can be downloaded from the Freeware for Solaris site.
