Alarm Forwarding on SMC 3.6

I notice that SMC 3.6 has a configuration option for alarms to be forwarded to a management tool via SNMP trap. It appears that this would allow the SMC administrator to define Alarm conditions and forward the the management station. Can anyone point me to a MIB file or contents of the SNMP trap that is sent?

There seems to be a fair bit of information on manually setting SNMP parameters on previous versions. Is this required with the latest version.

Not the direct answer to your question, but the off-the-shelf way of sending SNMP traps is to use these packages on your SunMC Server:

EventAction: http://www.halcyoninc.com/products/EventAction/index.php

Adapter for Frameworks (SNMP): http://www.halcyoninc.com/products/Frameworks/index.php

This combo ships with a MIB for your management station (/var/opt/SUNWsymon/cfg/HALAdapterFrameworks.mib) and a human readable version of the trap fields (http://www.halcyoninc.com/products/Frameworks/help/HALAdapterFrameworks-detail s-h.html)

If you have any questions about hos to set this up on the SunMC side, feel free to contact me.
