Is possible for the SMC console to generate a sound alarm when an event is set ?
other thing....
on the smc console messages it shows an excepcion related to
messageBell with com.sun.symon.base.console.awx.AwxServiceException
is that related to sound alarms ?

There's no option you can set in the SunMC Console that will make it play sounds when an alarm occurs. You could have the SunMC Server kick off an external utility that makes noise for every alarm (but the Server probably has no sound card, or is hidden in your data center)... or have the Server send email... and have your email client play a "new email" sound when it gets a SunMC alarm.
It's a neat idea though: sent it to Sun as a RFE :)
