hme0 problem

I have solaris 6 installed.

During the time of setup it accepts the Ip which I feed and is reachable.

When installation completes and I reboot the system the system becomes unreachable and there is an info

Link Down Cable problem.

If I run the command "ifconfig hme0 down" then the link light starts flickering in hub. And then i try to bring the card up and link light goes off in hub.

I dont have any additional card installed on solaris.

Please help on this.
