1. What's New in This Release

This release adds support for Sun Fire V890/V490 systems and includes some bug fixes. (See Section 3.)

This zip file contains the same software as the add-on software for Workgroup Servers in the previously available, English language-only zip file:

SunManagementCenter3.5_Update1.tar.Z

In addition, this file contains localized versions of the add-on software for workgroup servers and its documentation.

2. Do I need to install this?

If you have already installed the add-on software for workgroup servers in this file:

SunManagementCenter3.5_Update1.tar.Z

and you do NOT require the localized software or documentation, you have no need for this zip file.

Install this file if you meet at least one of these criteria:

o You HAVE already installed the add-on software included

in the SunManagementCenter3.5_Update1.tar.Z file,

but you want the localized software and documentation.

NOTE: For localized software, you must also install

Sun Management Center 3.5 Update 1 core software

found in the SunManagementCenter3.5_Update1_GA.tar.Z

file.

o You have NOT installed the add-on software included

in the SunManagementCenter3.5_Update1.tar.Z file,

and you want either the Sun MC add-ons that support the

Sun Fire V890/V490 systems or the bug fixes included

in the release. (See Section 3.)

o You HAVE already installed the add-on software included

in the SunManagementCenter3.5_Update1_GA.tar.Z file,

and you want either the Sun MC add-ons that support the

Sun Fire V890/V490 systems or the bug fixes included

in the release. (See Section 3.)

NOTE: The add-on software included in the

SunManagementCenter3.5_Update1_GA.tar.Z file is NOT

the add-on software included in this release.

Fixes for the following bugs are included in this release:

4815803 Config-reader does not work correctly on clustered nodes

5005839 V880 Sun MC configd displays -- for power supply status

4988308 V880 configdWG produces SCSI Warning messages on unlabeled

disks every 5-10 min

4998046 Defective CD-ROM causes agent to hang, with WorkGroup

4978920 Sun MC should have its images updated to reflect V890/V490

5010155 picld dies when Sun MC is started

4937265 Service controller cards erroneously displayed as Sun RSC cards
