Agent Dies all of a sudden

I have a v880 which the agent dies after a few minutes with this message:

*** process killed ***

The agent has been working for about a month without any problems.

Any ideas? I have already re-installed several times.

If you installed the recommended patch cluster recently, this can cause a problem with the Config Reader (hardware monitoring module).

This is often related to bug 4487710, produces /var/adm/messages entries like:

Jun 30 12:18:10 picld[74]: [ID 984387 daemon.error] psvc_psr_plugin_init: Failed to open semaphore /psvc_sema_rdwr

prtdiag -v might also be effected.

Apply patch 110849 restart picl and see if this solves your problem.
