Hello Martin,
> Is there a way to monitore A1000 disk stack with Sun Management Center?
The SunMC 3.0 Users Guide module listing (http://docs.sun.com/source/806-5942/apx_mods.html#1034703) only shows support for StorEdge A5x00 and T3 arrays. I'm not aware of any workarounds or 3rd part addons for the A1000. Do any of the messages get logged to syslog that you could scan for?
> Also, does it worth waiting for version 3.5 which will be released on may 28?
I haven't heard that release date before so I can't comment on it. But 3.0 is a solid release and very similar to 3.5, so I would say get the ball rolling now to have some sort of 3.x deployment. It may take you until 3.5's release to get management signoff or funding, and the 3.0 features are still a very strong story to seek approval with. When 3.5 does come it out looks to be a fairly painless upgrade, and its licensing may be even more favorable than 3.0.

Sun Microsystems offers storage monitoring under their StorADE and Enterprise Storage Manager (ESM) product lines. You can launch ESM from the SunMC tools menu if you have ESM installed and follow instructions in it's user guide. StorADE offers a rasagent SunMC module you can load on any given SunMC agent to receive event information from the StorADE server layer via http. Instructions are in the StorADE manuals.
The SunMC product line has no future plans for an A1000 or D1000 module. If you feel there is a large demand for such modules in SunMC, we can file a RFE. Note the Advanced System Monitoring (ASM) module set contains an addon called Hardware Diagnostic Suite 2.0. Within it are tests tailored to the D1000.
