Q about solarsi 10 iscsi initiator status and inter-operabilty

we are evaluating to have solaris 10 hooked up with an EMC AX150i iscsi array.

and AX150i appears have not yet been certified on solaris, although it does been

certified on linux and windows.

since ISCSI is a standard, my thought is it may just work,. however I'm wondering

anybody who have more experinced with solaris's iscsi initiators could comment

on the stability and inter-operatibiltiy of the iscsi initiators on solaris 10. any pointers

woudl be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

It should "just work". The Solaris iSCSI initiator has been tested against lots of arrays, though I can't recall if it was tested against this one, and we found lots of bugs....with the array vendors in most case.

http://www.sun.com/io_technologies/iSCSI.html has the list of arrays that have passed the Solaris Ready program. However, if you find a bug or an incompatability we're more then happy to test and see what it is. We're trying to avoid a matrix at all costs. :)
