Dealing with fractions

I see that SO 8 automatically simplified fractions like, when I enter 12/120, it will become 1/10. How to keep the format just as i type it?

In excel we can just to use up to any digits fraction and then changed the denominator to a certain value.

But in SO8 I can only change to format in term of the fraction digits, but not the denominator, because it'll autimatically be simplified to the smallest denominator.

Any idea?
