Solaris 9 blocking traffic from different subnet?

I've got a server running Solaris 9 which is on the network 172.16.104.0 / 21

I have a netscreen firewall configured with the 172.16.104.0 /21 network coming off one interface and 172.16.96.0 / 21 network coming off another.

Basically I have a hub attached to the 172.16.104.0 interface with said Solaris server and a Win XP laptop connected to the hub.

I CAN see (ping/telnet) the XP laptop from the 172.16.96.0 network, but not the Solaris box. However, from the Solaris box I CAN see the 172.16.96.0. I can also see the Solaris box from the XP laptop as you'd expect.

If I try to ping the Solaris box from the firewall itself I also get a reply... just seems to be blocking traffic that originates from the other network.

SunScreen doesn't seem to be installed, any ideas why I can't see the Solaris box from the other network? Remember I can see the laptop from the other network so the problem isn't with firewall rules.

Nevermind, swapped the hub for a switch and all is good..
