Hi
I have installed Solaris 10 on my acer laptop with no problems untill it asks to install the documentation etc it cannot find it on the install cd or companion cd, when it asks for the companion cd it keeps ejecting it (i can see the folders etc in windows)
So if I skip all that it will not reboot when i press reboot now
Any help would be apperciated
Did you purchase a media kit or download the CD images?
Are you using Solaris 10 3/05 or Solaris 10 1/06?
The reason for these questions are:
1) From http://www.sun.com/software/solaris/self_help.jsp :
Note: Sun does not offer a download of the Documentation CD; please refer to docs.sun.com for online access to all Sun documentation. Documentaton media is included in the orderable Solaris media kit.
2) The only Solaris 10 companion CD image that is available for download is for Solaris 10 3/05 and is rejected by the Solaris 10 1/06 installer. As a work-around you can follow the procedure I attempted to explain in http://swforums.sun.com/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=74860&messageID=323061#32 3061
